WELCOME
Hi, my name is Magdalena, welcome to The Healthy Avenue.
It’s such a pleasure to meet you!
I opened this space to explore how to cultivate a mind and body that make us feel strong, smart and beautiful from the inside out and vice versa.
I believe that the better we understand and become aware of how our minds and bodies work, the better we will be able to create social, cultural and personal environments we can naturally thrive in together. Environments that live up to what we as human beings truly need and strive for, mentally as well as physically.
The word “health” that I use in my blog’s name is a big one, and it might suffer from tremendous overuse, negative connotation or emotion. That’s why I would like to clarify what I mean by “being healthy”, and how you should read this blog.
Therefore, I have borrowed the definition from Cameron Diaz’ The Body Book which is exactly the definition I love to think of when talking about my personal health:
“When I refer to health, I’m talking about having a body that is working at its optimum, a body that has the energy to go all day without crashing, a body that can fight off illness and keep you strong. I’m talking about feeling amazing in your skin, in a body that can wake up in the morning, get out of bed, make breakfast and get moving. I’m talking about having a mind that can be clear and productive, thoughtful and happy.”
Cameron Diaz, The Body Book
I created this blog last year and for personal reasons never launched it.
This year, I have become a first-time mom and it brought me back to just that: the health of mind and body. And, it reminded me of what it means to be a role model in living in alignment with who you truly are.
So this is me enjoying the heck out of creating readable and visual content about topics I’m passionate about.
And my deepest wish for you is to discover something on this platform that will inspire you to think, feel or act in any direction that feels true to YOU.
So here we go…
Love, Magda
